Gelatin Printmaking in the Studio

Well the weather has improved and my Daniel Smith water soluable inks are working better. I have been playing with some old images: roots, spirals, dresses and me. I am not sure what it is all about but I am giving myself some time and space for it all to evolve. Gelatin prints are very fun and it is hard to stop once I have begun printing. www.linda-germain.com

Playing with Printmaking - Tiny Gelatin Prints

Today, I have been using a 2" square piece of gelatin as a stamp. I inked it and then worked into the ink to create designs and impressions. I am thinking of using this method with the kids this summer at College for Kids at Northern Essex community college. It is easy to get some very detailed impressions.
